I am a director, writer, and producer based in the Chicagoland area.

My mission is to make emotionally-engaging, thought-provoking, and formally-innovative works that explore the pain and pleasure of human existence in an entertaining manner.
I am currently developing several short form projects and narrative features across a variety of genres.
My recent and future documentary pieces delve into the feeling and process of mark-making in an unconventional community of artists.
Prior to filmmaking, I co-founded Our American Cuisine, an online magazine that explored the question of what makes food “American” through diverse recipes and nuanced storytelling.
I am also fluent in Mandarin Chinese and graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University with an a.b. in East Asian Studies.
